Bye Maldives!

Time to close the Maldives trip. You saw what is nice and the most known about this country... like you cannot buid anything higher than the highest coconut tree on the island. Funny. BUT they are some debatable aspects I should mention in order to show a better picture. First of all, alcool is totally prohibited in the Maldives (penalty is jail). No alcool in any shop, just very few hotels with foreign people can have some. Muslims cannot even touch a bottle of alcool and only people from Sri Lanka or India can serve you in these very rarely bars. Good or not?... knowing that 1/3^rd of youth are addict at the brown suger who is a derivative of the cocaine! Dealers can get 10 or 15 years in jail but this penalty is not deterrent.  

Any other religion is prohibited and you can go in jail like some guys in 1998. If you want to get married with a Maldivian women you have to adopt islam.You can receive a death penalty at 10 years old even if this is really rare!

Many people leave in Male in 2 rooms and the cost is monthly 1000US$...

A quand une banque catholique?

Despite all these strange picss, people is very nice, kind and polite. All are quiete and gentle and happy to help you everywere. Sometimes they have a funny way of undertsanding like  one day I asked an ice cream with 3 scoops, they served me 3 glasses with one scoop on each!
